MILWAUKEE CRUISERS

Milwaukee Cruisers is a concept brand for the 33rd team in the NHL. It sources inspiration from the city of Milwaukee and the bike culture present there. The focus of this project was to become acquainted with design in the sports industry.

THE MOTORCYCLE CAPTIAL

The research phase began with digging into the history of Milwaukee and what made it a unique city. Common themes that popped out were cheese, beer, and motorcycles.

MOTORCYCLES + HOCKEY

From the research stage, a theme was picked for the hockey team: motorcycles. This led to brainstorming a name and figuring out the logo.  

THE MC: MILWAUKEE CRUISERS

The 33rd team in the NHL: Milwaukee Cruisers. The team focuses on being loud, powerful, confident, and rough. It pulls in themes from Milwaukee like the colors to the bike culture from the logo.

While creating this hockey team I learned a lot about designing specifically for the sports industry. There is an entire culture behind every sports team so it is important to honor that and convey that through the design.
