Branding. Package Design. Small Business.

BOLD BREW

Bold Brew, a concept Dutch-inspired kombucha bar located in downtown Grand Rapids, was created in mind with a sit-down bar and in-stores citywide. It draws from the customs back in the Netherlands to the culture in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where all-around Dutch heritage thrives.

FOLK ART INSPIRATION

Traditional Dutch art heavily influenced the logo with the black letter typeface, primary colors, and folk art.

BUILDING THE BRAND

Once the base idea of the brand was formed, other concepts began to develop. All of them carry the same theme of folk art and primary colors.

BOLD FLAVOR. BOLD HERITAGE.

These pieces were created and designed to give the illusion of a practicing and working brand, showing assets a small business would need and how it would look. Each work traces back to the original mindset and ideology of Bold Brew.

THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX

This process acquainted me with building assets for a small business and the production work that goes into it. It made me think three-dimensionally about how the customers would interact with the products.
